Chung Lean-Yin and Lim Yin Weng, Marriage, Penang, 1906

The marriage ceremony of Miss Chung Lean Yin, a younger sister of Mr Chung Ah Yong, to Mr Lim Yin Weng was celebrated on the 3rd inst. on a very grand scale at the palatial residence of Mr. Chung Thye Chong, in Church Street, Penang, which was a scene of gay festivity, the numerous friends of Mr. Ah Chong, the brother of the bride, being invited to celebrate the occasion and responding right willingly. The hall and dining rooms were lighted by electricity, while the tropical atmosphere was kept within bounds by electric fans, the plant being installed by Messrs Howarth Erskine & Co., the well-known electrical engineers.
