Rodyk, John. Death Oct. 1845, Penang

Death. -- On the 6th October, after a residence off 42 years on this Island, John Rodyk Esquire aged 75 years, 6 months and 6th [sic] days. The deceased was a native of Amsterdam and had been nearly 57 years in India. [The Straits Times, 28 October 1845, Page 4]

Miss Chung Gaik Im and Mr. Oh Eng Hong, marriage 30 Nov. 1926, Penang

The marriage took place at Penang on Thursday in the old Chinese style and on an elaborate scale of Mr. Oh Eng Hong, of the United Traders, Limited youngest son of the late Mr. Oh Kean Hoe and youngest brother of Mr. Oh Eng Leong, f the same firm, and Miss Chung Gaik Im, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Chung Ah Yong and Mrs. Chung Ah Yong, and youngest sister of Messrs. Foong Kon Keow (Mrs. Chung Ah Yong), death 4 Dec. 1929, Penang

PENANG OBITUARY. (From Our Own Correspondent) Penang, Dec. 4 Mrs. Chung Ah Yong, mother of Chung Ah Ming, passed away this morning after several years of poor health, aged sixty years. Besides this son, she left four others, two daughters and several grandchildren. [The Straits Times, 5 December 1929, Page 12]

The death took place on Wednesday at her residence, 2 Church Street, Penang, of Mrs. Chung Ah Yong (nee Foong Kon Keow), at the age of 60. The deceased lady, who had been in indifferent health for some time, had a relapse on Sunday. She leaves six sons, two daughters and several grandchildren. Of an unostentatious and quiet disposition, she was always willing to loosen her purse strings for charity, and was greatly esteemed by all who came in contact with her. Oh Say Neoh aka Bee Say, death, Penang, 24 Jun 1929

The death took place on Monday at 10, Penang Street, Penang, of Madame Oh Say Neoh, better known as Bee Say, at the age of 93 years. The deceased was the grandmother of Mr. Ong Guan Keong and the late Mr. Ong Boon Swee, and mother-in-law of the late Capitan Chung Keng Quee, the late Mr. Ong Chin Chye, and Mr. Tan Paik Seng.
