Daughter of Cheah Tek Swee and Mahomed Noordin Merican, Marriage, 6 October 1892, Penang

A Marriage will take place to-night between Mr. Mahomed Noordin Merican, the only son of Nina Merican Noordin, and the daughter of Mr. Cheah Tek Swee, who was formerly a bill-collector of the firm Messrs. Mathieu & Co. The bridegroom is entitled to a large legacy under his father's will, and has signed a deed by which he settles on the young lady a sum of $10,000, and gives a present to her mother of $5,000, to be paid some time next year on his attaining the age of 21 years. The marriage ceremony will be performed in the house opf the mother of the young man in King Street, under the Mahomedan rites.

Ms. Loh Swee Yeng and Mr. Lim Sin Tat, Marriage, Taiping, 25 January 1916.

ENGAGEMENT. The engagement is announced of Mrs. Wong Phang Chong (nee Loh Swee Yeng) of Penang, Widow, and Mr. Lim Sin Tat of Singapore.
