Lam Swee Chun and Khong Kam Tak (K. T. Khong), marriage February 1911
A wedding of unusual interest to the Chinese community of Penang took place at Mr. Lam Hor Choong's palatial residence in Love Lane when Dr. K. T. Khong, B.A., M.B., B.C., (Camb,.) was joined in marriage to Miss Lam Swee Chun, eldest daughter of the late Mr. Lam Ah Kai. The bride, who is a sister of Mr. Lam Hor Choong, is an accomplished young lady who received her education at the Anglo Chinese Girls' School and latterly at the St. George's Girls' School. Of Dr. Khong's achievements most of our readers are aware. He left for Cambridge some seven years ago and after graduating B.A. of that University finished his medical course at Guys's Hospital. He is gradually building up a large practice here. (Straits Echo.) [The Singapore Free Press and Mercantile Advertiser (1884-1942), 23 February 1911, Page 5]
