Mr. Chung Ah Yong Passes Away in Penang.

Penang, Oct.21 : Mr. Chung Ah Yong, of Taiping, died at his residence in Church Street, Penang. [Mr. Chung Ah Yong was one of the most popular residents of Taiping, where he resided for several years. As a sportsman he was very well-known, having for years owned and raced in the F.M.S. and Straits some of the best horse-flesh in the country. The funeral of the late Towkay Chung Ah Yong, of Perak, says the Penang Gazette, took place at the family burial ground at Mount Erskine, Penang, and was largely attended, including his friends from Taiping and Ipoh who had specially come down on the evening previous for the occasion. The Town Band was in attendance. As a token of the esteem in which he was held both here and in Perak there were two rikishas full of wreaths, besides those on the coffin.
