Penang Nov 27. A Chinese society wedding took place today when Mr. Yeap Hock Hoe, the fifth son of Mr. Yeap Chor Ee, the Penang millionaire was married to Miss Ida Oei, daughter of the former Java sugar king and Mrs. Ooi Tiong Ham. The wedding was performed according to the Chinese reformed style and took place at the Homestead in Northam Road. There was a large attendance including the Chinese Consul, Mr. Lim Chean Ean, and Mr. H. S. Russell. Mr. Yeap Chor Ee is entertaining Chinese friends to dinner to-night and European friends on Wednesday. [The Straits Times, 28 November 1933, Page 12]
