Lim Choon Phuan, death January 1950, Taiping

PIONEER TAIPING BUSINESSMAN. TAIPING, Wed.---Mr. Lim Choo Phuan, a pioneer Taiping businessman who came to Malaya from China 67 years ago, has died in Taiping. He was 85. He leaves a wife of 81 and two sons, one of them the Taiping tennis player Lim Wan Seng. The funeral will be on Saturday. [The Straits Times, 26 January 1950, Page 6]
