Albert Charles Moses Westwood, death 12 August 1908, Vepery
The friends of Mr. Albert Charles Moses Westwood, formerly Chief Clerk, Penang Prisons, will regret to hear that he died after twelve hours' illness of cholera at Vepery, Madras, on the 12th ult. He was born on September 15, 1864, inTrispassore, Madras Presidency, and was the son of the late Mr. James Westwood, Assistant Surgeon. After leaving school, he became a clerk in the Madras Railway. Later on, coming to Penang, he joined in May, 1886, the Clerical Department of the Government Service in which he rose to be Chief Clerk, Prisons, but was obliged to retire on the 11th July, 1896, owing to ill-health.
