S. K. Pillai, death November 1951, Penang

The commissioner for Ceylon, Mr M. Saravanamuttu, officiated at the funeral rites yesterday evening of Mr S. K. Pillai, one of the oldest Ceylonese residents in Malaya. Mr. Pillai, who arrived in this country at the early turn of the century, died on Sunday morning at his house in Ayer Itam Road, Penang. [The Singapore Free Press, 27 November 1951, Page 5]
