Madam Tan Hoon Tan, death 17 June 1956, Penang
Madam Tan Hoon Tan, aged 69, passed away peacefully on 17.6.56 after a short illness at the General Hospital, Penang. She left behind 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces to mourrn her loss. Funeral took place on 18.6.56 according to Buddhist Rites. [The Straits Times, 19 June 1956, Page 6]
