Lee Phang Leng, death July 1958, Penang

Penang Tuesday. There was a large gathering at the funeral today of Mr Lee Phang Leng, a merchant and former committee member of the Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce. The late Mr Lee, who was 68, left a widow, two sons, Mr. Lee Sau Yan and Mr Lee Siew Yee, deputy editorr in Chief of the Straits Times and four daughters. [The Straits Times, 9 July 1958, Page 7]
