J. S. Reutens, death 27 January 1933, Penang

Penang Thusday. The death took place suddenly this morning of Mr J. S. Reutens, chief sanitary inspector to the Municipality. He was having and early cup of tea when he was suddenly taken ill and died within two minutes. The deceased was a popular and respected member of the Eurasian community and a keen Voluteer having been Q.M.S. for several years. He retired after receiving the long service medal from H.E. the Governor on the occasion of Sir Cecil Clementi's first official visit to Penang. The funeral takes place this afternoon.
