Wu Chong Teng and Kang Ah Gnoh, marriage January 1935, Penang
Mr. Wu Chong Teng and Miss Kang Ah Gnoh. At the Mission Chapel, Farquhar Street, Penang, the wedding took place on Saturday of two young members of the congregation. Mr Wu Chong Teng, a nephew of Dr. Wu Lien Teh, and Miss Kang Ah Gnoh (Nancy). Mr. Wu is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wu Lien Whatt and a younger brother of Mr. Ng Chong Weng of the staff of the Penang Free School, while the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kang Ah Teng. Mr. A. Hardwicke officiated at the ceremony. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Tan Wah Kim as bestman while Miss Dorothy Ang was the bridesmaid. Following the ceremony, a reception which was largely attended, was held at the bride's house. The honeymoon is being spent at the Crag Hotel.[The Straits Times, 16 January 1935, Page 12]
